Cerave Healing Ointment is Vaseline’s superior. The whole ā€œCerave is better than the shit at Sephora that costs 200 dollars and has fragrances that are bad for your skinā€ stuff is well covered territory so we won’t go over it.. Anyway after putting on all my skincare shit I will put a very thick layer of Cerave Healing Ointment all over my entire face. Every night.I use Retin-A so my face hurts really bad all the time and is peeling and dry. Which I guess is supposed to be a good thing. Here are other things that help with that:Face Hero oilSulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Ginseng MaskHada Labo Hyaluronic AcidI can’t use it any more due to what I was saying about my face being on fire but I really recommend Paula’s Choice 2% BHA. and also all her other products. Reliable brand. If you just want to go to one place and get everything you need, we trust her. Nothing is going to irritate your skin or have anything dumb in it.

I read Clare Barron’s play Dance Nation and it touched something in me that was so personal and deep in there that I then read every other play of hers currently available, and they ALL did that for me. Without exception. I don’t know if it’s because she’s interested in the same things I am, or if it’s as simple as ā€œshe’s a beautiful writerā€, but whatever it is, it feels like I told her all my secrets except they’re secrets I didn’t even know I had. That’s the best way I can describe her work- especially the monologues- they make me feel like I didn’t know that feeling or that impulse or experience was something I felt but it is. Absolutely thrilling to read. And perform! Not that I have gotten the privilege of being in one of her plays. I am unfortunately just talking about reading them out loud alone in my apartment, performing every character, recording the whole thing in photo booth, and then never watching it and deleting it 4 months later.

I love taking fitness classes IRL and I think boutique fitness is so interesting and literally, like I said, could just make this whole thing about that. So if you ARE interested in recommendations of studios and teachers and stuff reach out to me bc I am going to STOP but I did wanna say-- if you’re someone who’s been practicing yoga for a long time, especially at home, it can get kind of monotonous- you start to be able to predict where you’re going next, like, Warrior 2, then Reverse Warrior, then Triangle. Etc.Ā So I recently found this girl I am in love with and her name is Nicole and she doesn’t upload videos very often but they’re like the closest to an in-studio experience I’ve ever had at home. Her sequencing is so creative!!Ā  She’s an artist. It’s definitely for more experienced people, but if that is you, I think you will love her. She is amazing at coming up with crazy flows that are so fun and challenging. And a lot of them are a nice hour long!!If you are newer to yoga and are maybe burnt out on Adrienne, I think you would love Yoga With Kassandra...Ā  she’s really accessible.. this is all free on YouTube I should have specified

Oh other things I am thinking are Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C (ridiculously expensive but its what famous people use to not get sick and I think it does work somehow), Natural Calm Magnesium (I have taken this every night for years since someone told me there’s some cult that gives it to children to keep them from being hyper), This instagram lizard named MacGyver, Old Spice men’s deodorant, breaking up a protein bar into tiny pieces and putting it into a bowl of popcorn, Alka Seltzer chews

Their spices are so insanely delicious. Their turmeric especially is a transcendent experience.. I drink it every night w/ like almond milk and stuff when I have it, but a lot of the time I don’t because it is always sold out, because it is so good. All their spices are single-origin and sourced directly from the farmers they work with and they don’t sell their stuff on Amazon. Their whole thing is about a spice trade that’s equitable and not evil. Their spices are out of this world and absolutely worth getting on their waiting lists for.

Okay... I think honestly people are surprised to learn that I am deeply obsessed with like, ā€œhealth and fitnessā€ culture. I think it is SO FUN and riveting and it occupies sooo much of my thoughts and my time. I have been told that this does not suit my personality. It’s like God flipped a wrong switch and gave ā€œloves to work outā€ to me instead of the right person. But if I was REALLY being honest in this list and not trying to impress anyone, all my recommendations would be about that. But I’m trying for some variety, so I will just say that the government does not want you to know about The Ready State.Dr. Kelly Starrett is an amazing man. If you have a foam roller, lacrosse balls, tennis balls, a towel, NOTHING, there’s a 5/10/20/30 minute video you can do where you follow along with him as he talks you through mobilizing and restoringĀ  function to your own tissues and muscular systems and teaches you how one affects the other etc. If that sounds really boring,Ā  you don’t have to retain any of the information, you can just give yourself a better massage than anyone you would pay could. It hurts really bad fyiI think everyone in the world should be devoting at least like 5 min a day to this. It will literally keep you from needing surgery later. ā€œDoctors HATE him!ā€ etc(Equally great alternative, higher production value- Jill Miller’s YogaTuneUp balls -- --Ā  and corresponding videos. I think she has a lot of free Youtube stuff too that might not even require lacrosse balls)
