Paige Hanserd is a New York City based artist, designer, occasional filmmaker, and model. Right now she’s making some very sick art books for Karma Gallery but she also designs movie director themed long sleeves, Memphis rap bootleg hoodies, hats that say all kinds of stuff on em, zines of celebrities crying, etc— it all rocks. She’s working on a very special project for her late friend, Marie, and it’ll include a book, wearables, videos, and even a food component. Paige has great taste and lucky for us, she’s here to tell us what she’s been into.

I swear by this shit for NYC winter. I’m a Georgia Peach so these dry ass NYC winters really do not sit well with me. Spray away on your face as needed. I feel like the only dewy bitch in these streets amongst a sea of chalky dried up New Yorkers :) but I share! Just ask, I keep that thang on me ;)

MTV's Rich Girls 2003
All of the episodes are on Youtube and if you’re a nostalgic reality show nerd like me, you’re welcome. For those who aren’t familiar it’s an old MTV show that follows Tommy Hilfiger’s daughter Ally and her bff Jaime around NYC. Watching the daughter of the America-obsessed designer Tommy Hilfiger say she doesn’t understand “American, um, uh, uh, products at all” while scarfing down crudités is truly the “Rich”ness of the show! They say the most insane and dumb shit sincerely and I still love it. A true study on delusion. A horror reality show. Def not for everyone. They dress like we do now so there’s style inspo too if you want to watch it on mute. Some might call it nauseatingly cringe, but I like to live on the edge.

Harper's Bread House
Best Portuguese egg tarts and onigiri in the city and they’re like $1.25. Just be chill, be nice to them and bring cash. I went recently and this bro asshole was yelling at them to cut his little ass tart into tiny pieces and they told him NO about 23984x, so eventually I was like cut it yourself bro or just eat it and stfu! Not that kind of establishment. Just get your cute little pastries and onigiri, say thank you and go about your day :) The sponge cake is bomb and they have various bubble teas too.

Heaven I Stay
Cutest and best sourced collection of vintage designer in the city! They do pop-ups around LES often, but also have a qt website and IG. I got a pair of bleached raw denim 5351 Pour Les Femme jeans that I wear every day from one of their parties and an early 00’s Miu Miu mini skirt that I wore on NYE that I’m obsessed with. It’s ran by some of the hottest LES-ers <3 Shout-out Maya, Nancy, and Jeremie xoxo. I recently figured out that if you say “Heaven I Stay” aloud you get a cute surprise, so say it aloud right now to whoever’s near you :)

Grand Central Oyster Bar
I know, I know, I know obvious! But hear me out, there is literally NOTHING better than sitting alone tipsy at one of the huge, round oyster bars with “a book” that acts as a shield of distraction while you eavesdrop on other people. One time I went and I watched three strangers meet, get hammered, and decide to have a threesome lol. Cheers! Everything here is good, but my personal fave is the caviar sandwich and a Campari spritz with olives. And you must (!) take a selfie on the red lips sofa in the bathroom! There’s a huge mirror in there just for that reason.
