Jack Antonoff is a Brooklyn-based producer, singer, and songwriter. With early hits like Fun’s “We Are Young” and Bleacher’s “I Wanna Get Better,” it felt like Jack was everywhere while I was in high school, and he’s only become more embedded in the zeitgeist ever since. His distinct flavor of production, which can trigger strong opinions, defined an entire era of pop music through collaborations with artists such as Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, and The 1975, and has earned him eleven GRAMMYs. During this time Jack also released a few Bleachers albums, and even made a song with Bruce Springsteen, but now he’s back with a brand new self-titled Bleachers album and a world tour. Lucky for us, Jack is here to tell us what he’s into.

this specific nasal spray is important. cleaning out your sinuses should be as important as brushing your teeth but god only knows what happened there with whatever lobby etc. i love this thing. nothing feels better after a plane or a show… or honestly even just after dinner.

most things i record go through the baby binson at some point. there’s lots of equipment i love in the studio, but this is the only one that i wish i had everywhere because i can't get enough of how it looks. it's nice to record a bunch of stacks of something, and then run it through this and play with it as one track from the binson. what it spits out often feels random and out of control, and that randomness has led to a lot of important ideas. i love to have it around in general to remind me of that. looking at it feels calming and like anything is possible.

i love cleaning my phone and the rim of my glasses with these.

we went to a restaurant called don angie for my mother’s birthday and the food was wonderful but the main takeaway was my sister rachel mooning the people eating across from us. pls enjoy this pic! sorry rachel!

this is the salad i eat most days from mendocino farms. the quinoa is lightly fried and i just love it. i look forward to it, and then when it's done i can't wait for tomorrow. it's that simple. i usually eat the same thing every day and i think about it and look forward to it all day and night.

these specific ear plugs. ear plugs are a huge part of my life and it’s got to be these, i’ll explain why. i can only really relax and turn off if i have these in. if you squeeze them hard and get them pretty deep in the ear canal they will expand and create a 33db block of all sound, which for me is the absolute height of mediation and calm. must be specifically these and not just any old ear plug because a lot of other brands remove the harmful frequencies, but still let too much in. i sleep with them every night, and wear them throughout the day if i need to feel removed. what’s most interesting to me about having this range blocked out is that i feel it’s almost impossible to access anger with these in.
