Memphis Oliver-Murphy (aka Memphy) is a Harlem-born, New York City-based DJ and model that Highsnobiety recently declared as “fashion’s new it-girl” on their fashion week cover. In the last few years, she’s modeled for prestigious brands such as Savage x Fenty, Hood by Air, Dion Lee, and Mugler, and has been featured in French Vogue alongside Beyoncé in her campaign with Balmain. And as an in-demand DJ, she’s been on bills with favorites like Bearcat, Bapari, and Goth Jafar, and she’s performed everywhere from Madonna's Pride party at Terminal 5 to Intima at the Market Hotel and Bossa Nova Civic Club. Lucky for us, Memphis is here to tell us what she’s been into.

Korean BBQ

Korean food is just so good. Ever since I was a young teen I have always loved the ritual of the waiters bringing out the meats for me and my friends to cook while chatting and drinking beer. There's literally something so personal about cooking the food the way you like it and sharing it with your friends and family. Im so lucky now that my boyfriend is Korean and I get to experience his moms amazing cooking. Lets not forget about the Kimchi!

Summer Fridays Lip Balm in Vanille

Nothing soaks into my lips better. I remember seeing all the hype over it on tik tok so I caved and bought it. Any packaging that incorporates a matte finish will have me in a chokehold. It smells so good and actually lasts on my lips for like 4 hours.

French Manicures

I love a French Manicure. Whenever I think of a sexy yet classy woman and what her nails would look like I immediately think of French. Something about the way the base layer of pink topped with the curved white tip just gives insanely.

Kilian Angels Share Perfume

I first Heard of Kilian when there was a buzz that it was Rihanna's go to perfume. When I walked for Savage X Fenty Volume.2 I got to Hug her. And although the smell was mostly of (if not) the best body oil ever, which is Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Oil, I also smelled the scent of what people online were saying was so angelic. I went to the Kilian Store in the west village and smelled her scent along with many more, which was super marshmallowy, I stumbled across Angels Share which from that day on I knew would be my forever scent.

Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci Pandora Purse

I personally am such a big fan of Givenchy as a whole throughout the years, but I specifically love when Ricardo Tisci was in the house. The way he played with essential shapes and made them into staples was something I really loved and what I find very hard to do for a lot of designers. I recently went to Woodbury Commons and found that they had a good selection of brand new Ricardo pieces and found the purse of my dreams, the Pandora Bag. I got the black one with a wrinkled leather design. I think this design is so iconic because it looks almost deconstructed but is so chic, fierce, and easily pairable with almost any outfit.
