Anna Baryshnikov is a New York City-based actress. She’s been acting for over a decade (maybe you’ve caught her in films like Manchester by the Sea and Love Lies Bleeding). Her slate only continues to grow: she both produced and starred in Idiotka, directed by Nastasya Popov, which premiered at SXSW last year and is in theaters starting this week (!!!), and she stars opposite Robert Pattinson and Zendaya in A24’s The Drama, arriving this April. She will also appear in Our Hero, Balthazar, hitting theaters in April, and in the Jamie Lee Curtis-produced psychological horror film Sender, which premieres at SXSW in March, where she stars alongside Britt Lower, Rhea Seehorn, and Curtis. Later this year, you can also see her in the upcoming Apple series Cape Fear alongside Javier Bardem and Amy Adams. It’s shaping up to be a crazy-exciting year for Anna, and lucky for us, she’s here to tell us what she’s been into.

In 2017 I inexplicably sent actor Chris Messina the Britney Spears lip-sync play I wrote about campus sexual assault, to “get his thoughts.” He was incredibly nice about it.
