Annie Armstrong is a New York City-based journalist (maybe you recall her OG Perfectly Imperfect appearance back in 2022). Since 2021, she wrote for Artnet, where she ran the iconic weekly gossip column Wet Paint. Now, she’s a founding journalist at Caper, a “new media company covering the people, money, ambition, power, and chaos that fuels the food world.” Caper launched this month, and you can subscribe here (get in early before everyone else catches on XD). Somewhere along the way, having a dog in New York City got a bad rep. This is nonsense to me. There are too many benefits I won’t list here, but it's as simple as having a reason to start every morning with a walk. I believe that those who say they don’t like animals (I’m also pro-cat) have lost something essential to their humanity. It’s like when people say they don’t like the taste of water.
