Baz Luhrmann is an Australia-born, Los Angeles-based filmmaker. Known for his deeply hands-on ethos toward filmmaking, from writing to music, he has for decades delivered some of the most major projects in contemporary film, including Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, and Elvis. His newest project, the documentary EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, premieres in theaters this week with an exclusive IMAX engagement, ahead of its global theatrical release on February 27. The soundtrack, featuring 27 recordings from the film, is out now, with a vinyl edition arriving later this spring. He’s also currently working on his next feature, Jehanne d’Arc, a retelling of the life of Joan of Arc, the war hero and patron saint of France. Lucky for us, Baz is here to tell us what he’s been into.
