Blaketheman1000 is a Los Angeles-based indie musician who all real Perfectly Imperfect heads should already be familiar with. He first came on the newsletter back in 2022 and has been mentioned many times in our best-of music lists (peep his EP For Those with Eyes to See in the 2025 edition). Maybe you've seen him DJ at parties like Oddly Satisfying, or open for Frost Children, but you may not know he is also a corporate A/V technician who has worked events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, New York City, New Jersey, and Boston. His newest album, City of Careless Angels, is over a decade in the making and, as of April 3, is now available for your listening pleasure. Lucky for us, Blake’s here to tell us what he’s been into.
