The New York City-based journalist stops by to tell us what she's been into.
March 6, 2026

Emma Orlow is a New York City-based journalist. She first appeared on Perfectly Imperfect in 2021, when she was reporting and editing at Eater, covering the restaurant industry. In addition to her work there, she has written for numerous publications, including New York Magazine, Vogue, and The New York Times. Her work spans a killer range of human-interest subjects: think dollhouse miniature collectors, or two of the city’s storied sign makers. Now, she’s a founding journalist at Caper, a “new media company covering the people, money, ambition, power, and chaos that fuels the food world.” The publication launched in February, and you can subscribe here to be in the know. Lucky for us, Emma’s here to tell us what she’s been into.
