Ken Carson is an Atlanta-based rapper. Signed to the culture-shifting Opium label, he first gained attention with his breakout 2020 release, Teen X. Since then, he’s continued to build momentum with several projects, including his latest and Billboard No.1 charting record, More Chaos. Ken also wanted me to include this anecdote from our interview – when I attended a show of his in 2021, a boy ran up to me and, in a very slapstick fashion, said something along the lines of “A GIRL WEARING RICK OWENS?” before dropping to one knee and proposing… his fans have always been – and continue to be – young and turnt. If you’ve missed out, you can catch him this summer on The Lords of Chaos Tour, with U.S. arena dates kicking off soon and a EU-U.K. leg in the fall. Lucky for us, Ken’s here to tell us what he’s been into.

I’m trying to get into cars and watches and shit like that. I’m learning this shit is endless. You never got the best one, there’s always a better car. That's what I noticed about learning about this luxurious shit.

That’s all I've been doing. Studio shit. Recording. I’ve been working. I work every day; I’m in the studio every day. My life is pretty simple. I don’t do much.

I just like playing live. It don’t matter where I'm playing at. You could go to Barclays,  you could go to Terminal 5, you could go to Little Five Points. It don’t matter to me.  Secure your tickets for his arena tour here.
