Kevin Abstract is a Houston-based rapper and singer/songwriter. He’s best known as the founder of the era-defining hip-hop collective/"boy band" BROCKHAMPTON, which released eight studio albums and helped shape the sound of the cultural zeitgeist (you had to be there). Alongside that run, Abstract also released several critically acclaimed solo projects. His latest, Blush, marks a return to his Texas roots – featuring rising local artists like Love Spells, and reuniting with previous collaborators such as Dominic Fike and Danny Brown. My Car
This is my car. It’s the first one I ever copped. I got it before I got my license. I was out in Montana in 2020 and I saw a jeep drive by me and the homies, and I was like, “woaaah, that reminds me of my childhood. I should cop, haha.” I’ve had it for a while. It got me from Los Angeles, to - well…back home. Texas. Love this thang.

Heavier Than Heaven
Heavier Than Heaven is a book I think about a lot. I like how Kurt’s principles are broken down here. I relate to some of them, not all. But the story is beautiful, tragic, and obviously inspiring. It’s also something I read back in high school so maybe I’m thinking about it right now because of nostalgia. Also cause AJ asked me what my favorite book was yesterday hahaha.

Passport as ID
I keep my passport with me because I always lose my ID. I’ve never lost my passport though. I just knocked on wood. P.S. I prefer the look of tha passport over the look of a state ID. Lol.

I got this new MacBook. I’ve always loved working off of these thangs. Watching movies over here. And just being on em in general. Feels like the coolest toy in the world.

Willy Chavarria hoodie
I need a hoodie, kinda always. This one is currently my favorite. I like the silhouette it gives. Willy Chavarria is also one of my favorite designers because his perspective feels like you can only get it from bro. The kind of work I believe we all need rn.
