This idea has profoundly influenced how I process the modern world and decide on things to avoid / partake in. 'Lindy' basically means 'tried-and-true for humanity', things we have done for centuries are lindy, because we know what the consequences of doing them are. So for examples- going for walks, cooking, practicing religion are all lindy, but so is like, being an alcoholic. Tiktok? NOT lindy. Vaping? Zoom? Onlyfans? Not lindy..avoid at all costs! The lindy way is not about being a perfect or even healthy person, it just helps you avoid problems of modernity we haven't even identified yet. Also Paul Skallas is known as the lindyman and he writes a pretty good blog about lindy-related ideas.
