If only for the fact that they managed to take an objectively silly voice and make it feel genuinely scary while experiencing the movie.
This I think is Eggers’ talent. Managing to pass off something ridiculous when out of context (character bestowing a curse on his rommate because he said he didn’t like his cooking) and sell is as a serious moment in the film.
