It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Outside of contacting local theaters to see if they could host it/my local government to see if there are grants available, I don’t know where to start. Like how would I get people interested in submitting films, how do I get the word out, how do I get audiences and prizes, etc. Anyone with recommendations on how to throw large events in general is welcome, doesn’t have to be film fest specific. Also I am aware this is going to cost me, personally, a decent amount of money. I’m not expecting to profit off this
