Are we switching sides? Average people becoming more sex negative and I don’t mean in a bad way. Maybe a 4B way? Maybe something like sexually reserved or repressed? Regardless, I wanna explore more. Hear me out. Losing Roe V. Wade and Medicaid has made it almost impossible to feel comfortable having sex today. Sure there’s still condoms, even Plan B. Don’t get wrong there will always be something — whether it’s safe is to be the real concern. But I feel like a lot of people are getting more uncomfortable with sex. Love Island, Donald Trump, Bonnie Blue, TikTok trad wives — they’re all talking about sex. All performing sex. All thinking and making content about sex. Some are ACTUALLY having sex. Yet they all are actually highly conservative, even outwardly so. I still feel like a very sex-positive person and I know a lot of people around me are also. I can’t help but think that maybe people are performing sex in media as an act of propaganda. Have conservatives figured out how to get sexual? Or are we just trying to increase birth rates? This is an attempt at blog posting. I’ve been inspired by friends, Sex and the City, Broey Deschanel, Khadija Mbowe, Shirley Jackson and the women I hate in media.
