This fascinating documentary made in 2012 tells the story behind Michael Viner’s Incredible Bongo Band recording the Album ‘Bongo Rock’ at Can-Base Studios (Later known as Mushroom Studios) in Vancouver, BC Canada! ‘Bongo Rock’ released in 1973, became kinda like the foundation of hip hop as DJs in the Bronx such as Kool Herc ended up sampling a song from it called ‘Apache’, in turn exposing it to Jay Z, Nas, Sugarhill Gang and many more.
