Wisp is a Los Angeles-based musician. Since the TikTok-fueled breakout of her debut single “Your Face” in 2023, the nü gaze wunderkind has played Coachella and toured with acts like Slowdive and Panchiko. Her latest single, “Save Me Now,” drops this Friday, June 6th. In the meantime, check out her most recent release, the killer track “Get Back to Me.” You can also catch her later this year on System of a Down’s stadium tour, sharing the stage with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, and Deftones. Lucky for us, Wisp’s here to tell us what she’s been into.

It all started months ago when I went to Cafe Los Feliz for a little breakfast treat. I got the pain au chocolat and it was massive, filled with thick chocolate, and so flaky and chewy. Every morning I think about taking a walk to get a pain au chocolat from this cafe near me but my standards are too high now, and im also really lazy. Anyways, I could have these for breakfast everyday so if anyone has reccs on where to get some very chocolatey and chewy ones let me know.

Stories is a book store in Echo Park that I go to very often. It’s kind of a bad money habit that I end up buying at least three books every time I go there, but I think of it as my reward for the 40 minute long walk it takes from my place to there. I love the cozy vibes, the drinks are great, and their recommendations shelf right by check-out always helps me find new books to read. It’s also a great space for studying if you ever want to get some work done alone or with special people. I just recently purchased Giovanni’s Room and If Beale Street Could Talk- both by James Baldwin, and Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn.

Poetry books always helps me write better lyrics, whether it’s one word that starts rolling the ball for me or some imagery I take away from a poem. My manager put me onto Sappho. I bought “If Not Winter: Fragments of Sappho”, finished the whole poetry collection in one car ride, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I have all her collections now. I think it’s so bizarre that she existed years and years ago but her soul writes like modern art. Great for people who are into writing about love (me).

This is your sign to give mint chip another try if you don’t like it or if you’ve never had it because you think it’s a weird flavor. It is the best ice cream flavor. Refreshing and chocolatey at the same time. I’m realizing now I can’t make it sound very appetizing through words but trust me, it’s the perfect combination of flavors.

A very dear friend of mine loves this show and urged me to start watching it asap. I’ve never been keen to watching sitcoms (besides Gilmore Girls) just because I don’t do well with slow pacing or a bunch of filler episodes when I only care about all the drama. How I Met Your Mother does have filler episodes and the whole story does not only encompass around drama, but it’s the perfect balance between a fun and chill watch and something you just can’t put down because you’re dying to know what happens next. All of the characters are so likable in completely different aspects which makes their friendship really special and exciting. They also feel like real people too. I find myself relating to Lily a lot, and Barney is the funniest character ever. If you have Netflix, start it today.

Forma Norte is the perfect album for all vibes. I can listen to it when I’m at the clothes studio with my friends, in the car, on a walk, while I’m cleaning my house. I feel like it tells a story really well without lyrics. A lot of ambient music falls short for me if it can’t express emotion clearly. William Basinski is the perfect example of an ambient artist who tells story and emotion through pure sound. Forma Norte blends acoustic guitars with different noises perfectly. These two are the top in my current rotation.
