Her style is so beautiful and she communicates so much depth about the human experience in every sentence. Reading Lispector is truly such a mesmerizing way to experience language.

my favourite read in a while. it's a look on her thoughts about everything from life, time, death and lonelines to perfumes. her writing on this one might not be the easiest to understand due to the erratic aspect of it, but i think everyone should read at least one of her books in their life!!!! GO READ CLARICE

by Clarice Lispector. cannot recommend this book enough for strange young women. she verbalizes internal sensations and animal knowledge I didn’t think possible to express. if ur a little feral and cruel and fiercely in love with life then this book is for u.

what an incredible way to write. makes you want to really run around! brilliant, active voice that surprises and specifies endlessly. some bits of dialogue were so funny and read so theatrically it made me jealous as a sore tooth!!

I guess not having a lot of family or guardianship, I’ve found a lot of wisdom and guidance in friendships from different age groups. People who have nurtured my empathy, broadened my understanding, and provided access to unique experiences. Even outside of deep friendships, just interacting more with different generations in a community is important to me.

I’ve been trying to experience a sense of calmness and peace through relinquishing control. I’m not super comfortable with letting things go, so it’s been nice to surrender a little :)

I actually just found out it’s not as good for you as I thought it would be. There are so many self improvement myths today that I want to be critical of but also think it’s alright to embrace a passing fad. A daily ginger shot feels great on the throat.
