gin, dry, with a twist

🍸
All the pomp and circumstance of drinking a ‘tini, with a little less bite. 1.5oz of Gin, 1.5oz of Dry Vermouth, and a few dashes of Orange Bitters — stirred until ice cold and served in a (chilled!) glass with a twist of lemon or a few olives if that’s your thing. The only rule: never vodka - it doesn’t bring much to the party.

i started smoking skinny menthols in honor of my glamorous irish catholic grandmother, kitty, after she died and i immediately realized they're the perfect small treat for girls. the smoke dances smooth and cool on your tongue and in your throat, its small enough to give you the perfect buzz of nicotine, and two last exactly long enough for a chat full of secrets outside the bar with your girls. if you pull out a pack of these in the smoking section, all the shawties will gather around to ooh and ahh 100% of the time.

“there is no greater force against evil in the world than the love of a man and woman in marriage.” – Cardinal Raymond Burke. i love love and i love being in love with my husband and it feels nice to tell you that i think we have the greatest love of all time. i won't detail our story here because i think that's a little gauche, but i do love to talk about it so if you ever have the chance to ask me in person i will, without hesitation, gush about him with effervescence while giggling uncontrollably. never once have i doubted his presence in my life, just like i've never doubted God’s, and every day my faith in both grows stronger than i could imagine. my husband is a brilliant artist and is currently doing beautiful work with jared madere and milo conroy on yeche lange, an nft gallery launched at the beginning of june, and i am very proud of him.

people really do be thinking they are over important— classico misstep. nobody is more important than God. it is really crucial to practice humility (and gratitude) with intention and i usually do this when i pray, which in turn grants me the clarity to recognize moments throughout the day when i should humble myself. practicing humility also makes it easier to see who around you is not in the habit – and you should also pray they find humility because living within the haze of your own narcissistic hubris is frankly soul-destroying. absolutely everyone can use more humility. it is also good to keep in mind that we all have to deal with the consequences of our actions.
