I love when people do this whatever format they’re subverting. I thought I was going to try to do that with this article but Honor and Dasha told me I shouldn’t. And, last night I was “called out” for being too “ironic” so now is not the time to add any more potential fodder to the irony allegations.  But, for all of you who have a format and the desire to subvert it, I can’t guarantee I’ll enjoy or understand what you’re doing, but I’ll appreciate/applaud the effort.

By Erifili Gounari If I’m gonna doomscroll, Substack gotta be the best app do to so. I love finding and subscribing to random people that talk about topics I’m interested in. This article talks about the importance of acting out of sudden inspiration rather than at the “perfect time”. Unfortunately, I do this often. There’s always something I’m not ready for, knowledgeable enough for, capable of, etc. Her perspective felt really different to me because usually the articles I read on Substack are about an inherent indifference towards something in the author’s life (their personality, the patriarchy, their phones) and this wasn’t that. She basically tells you to—in the words of Kim Kardashian—get your fucking ass up and work. Which I certainly have become way to comfortable not doing. Highly recommend for all the bed rotting divas out there. We gotta punch the clock cause it’s time to work!

Bring back hatchet jobs! But for like Substacks and blogs. Oyler's is fun, mainly skewering Tolentino herself (funny!) but I want to see people fighting in formal prose about pieces with subtitles like "summer blues, ex’s, home depot, loss, and cantaloupe,” and “falling in love with the stains in my microwave” — things like that. Toooo much uncritical reposting on Instagram stories and not enough "OKAY lazy metaphor ALERT." We need to be better writers. But also we should be cringy. We just need to be careful.

i compare kinderwhore and the infamous coquette-core to talk about the rise of anti-intellectualism in our current cultural landscape.

I didn’t touch grass until I was 16 years old, but it changed my life for the better! Nature can be more restorative than man-made cures/therapies, so how can I not recommend touching grass!

Dear Haters, keep sucking, I’m about to cum(plete this list). Being a lover is powerful. Being a lover is productive. Being a hater is cucked and pathetic.

People say going online is bad for mental health and they’re not entirely wrong. But aside from inducing the occasional bout of mania or depression, I’ve also met my best friends and cultivated profound life experiences going online. So, go for it! Get your screen time up! Like, post, scroll, or participate in a group chat for recovering edgelord men! Like I always say, “it’s never a crime to have fun online!”
