This is hands down one of my favorite movies in the entire world. If you havenāt seen it I recommend u do. Iāve watched it on acid, on ketamine and completely sober and each time I gain something new and special from it. Truly one of the most beautiful movies ever made from the way it was shot to the compassion and empathy they use to breach difficult subjects. Itās cool a movie made in 1959 was able to talk about race and class better than we are able to now (at least from what I've seen recently). We could learn a lot from movies like this. Watch it!!! Itāll change your life and if it doesnātā¦well, okedoke thenā¦ā¦

one of the classics from powell and pressburger. was lucky enough to see it on the big screen early last year and it was sooo amazing. truly mature film for its time and frames love and life in a very interesting way.

In my opinion, one of the best films to watch at New Years, though not an easy one. Makes you want to be better, to live life to the fullest.

an instant classic. iāve probably watched this movie 5+ times and still could watch it again. elegantly shines a light on the topic of āwhat it means to be blackā in this world and the beauty & pain comes with it.
the cinematography is breathtaking. one of the prettiest films to exist, yet also so heartbreaking.

Iāve been hooking up w a train driver for the MTA for a little bit and there are some major perks. I get train derailment alerts before the general public and other insider info (did u know the fastest subway goes 63 mph?). He owns a home, has kids and has no idea what dimes Sq is. He has to wake up and go to work and has been for over a decade. Also asked me what a āstoryā was (he doesnāt have insta and never has). So hot!
