I watched an obscene amount of early-to-mid 2000s reality TV during quarantine, including this delightful MTV series starring Travis Barker and his then-wife, model/actress Shanna Moakler. Viewers can tell the couple is keeping it totally real in front of the cameras: Travis was at the height of his Blink-182 fame while becoming a father for the first time, and watching the Barkers balance their hard-partying rock star lives with starting a family is endearing.

For those who arenât familiar itâs an old MTV show that follows Tommy Hilfigerâs daughter Ally and her bff Jaime around NYC. Watching the daughter of the America-obsessed designer Tommy Hilfiger say she doesnât understand âAmerican, um, uh, uh, products at allâ while scarfing down cruditĂ©s is truly the âRichâness of the show! They say the most insane and dumb shit sincerely and I still love it. A true study on delusion. A horror reality show. Def not for everyone. They dress like we do now so thereâs style inspo too if you want to watch it on mute. Some might call it nauseatingly cringe, but I like to live on the edge.

đYes, these are expensive, but if you think in terms of price per wear, theyâre worth every penny. I have them in all three colors and in a couple of different sizes for days when I want a baggier fit. Theyâre straight-leg, have no stretch, and legitimately look like they couldâve been found at a vintage store, which are my top three qualifications when it comes to buying denim.
