It has been one and a half years since I've switched from my regular old head & shoulders shampoo to Prose. Prose let's you select goals for your hair, and custom scents that are updated every season. I've always had extremely oily hair which instantly causes my hair to be super flat, so my goal was to control oil for better volume. The custom formula they've concocted for me did exactly that. Their custom scents are also a huge plus. I've gone from Jasmine to smokier Bergamot, and it's super nice to always switch it up without actually changing the formula.

trying to give up shampoo and heavy styling products so I’m trying this out. my hair is thick and between straights/wavy so I use this 2-3x a week and comb through with a lightweight oil and it’s working very well!

Sorry this is so long 😅 I have straight, fine hair and I currently use the Herbal Essences rose hip shampoo. It's really great at adding shine and making my hair smooth and soft (also smells yummy 😋). I've also used the Maui Moisture lightweight hydration shampoo (the pink bottle) and liked it. Another thing that has been a game-changer for my hair is double shampooing! Because my hair is so straight and fine, it gets oily very quickly. I discovered double shampooing recently (which is just shampooing twice) and it gives my hair a little volume and it can last longer without looking greasy. I do every other day! For conditioners/leave-ins I highly recommend anything with jojoba oil! My hair LOVES it and since I'm assuming we have similar hair types yours might love it too. This is an add-on but the Tsubaki Fino hair mask is affordable and makes my hair sooooo shiny!

I have a lot of hair, and I’m trying to grow it out as long as Lissie’s.  My hair can be temperamental, (I have a cowlick that has a mind of its own) a few drops of this stuff and my hair is not only tamed, but it smells amazing and people will hug you for longer. What’s not to love??

I’ve never been to Disney as a kid and as I grew older I always felt like I was too old for it. I spontaneously tagged along with my family the day before they left and I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and Avatar, and even as an adult I think I had the best week of my life and I felt like a kid again. I legitimately had real tears of joy on some of the rides. It’s never too late!

While everyone is raving about their trendy nonstick pans, I’m here to bring the spotlight back to cast iron cookware. There’s a huge stigma around how hard it is to take care of cast irons, but it’s really not bad! You just gotta keep using it, and over time, it basically becomes nonstick. This article has sent off a tangent, and now I am a proud owner of a well-seasoned cast iron pan and griddle.

Excessively hiking this year has been so fun, but the other half of the fun is the technical hiking apparel that goes with it - oh, and wearing only hiking gear even when I’m not hiking. I really appreciate Japan’s love for outdoor style and culture. GO OUT’s web magazine has been my daily morning check-in and my biggest outdoor gear inspiration. I recently picked up a few of their physical magazines (it’s hard to come by in the US) and I really enjoy flipping through them every now and then. Contrary to typical magazines that we’re used to, GO OUT magazines are basically beefed up catalogs of goodies and collabs that make for great coffee table content.
