The best thing to come out of fashion retail in a minute. The people behind cafe forgot have great taste, a unique vision for clothing, and a youthful but intelligent way that gets people inspired to spend time in their space and want to spend money.

they can be found at @themodh on insta or fuckshein.com. lovely little shop & archive that sells limited recreations of zeitgest-y vintage tees originally spotted on pop culture darlings real and fictitious alike. some noteworthy examples include the cat crewneck chloe sevigny wore in gummo, the i blame society tee from totally fucked up, and rentons bardot baby tee from trainspotting. every piece is meticulously reverse engineered and the recreations are printed on 100% cotton blanks so you’re getting really great value for money!! i got this insane moon safari baby tee (as seen on clairo). wore it to see air last week and had so many people stop me and ask where it was from it has quickly become my favourite piece in my wardrobe <3

What was intended to be a trip to the Musuem of Modern Art (the very best) ended up being a trip to the Paloma Wool pop-up in SoHo. I love fashion but I’ve never been so fascinated and appreciative of a brand until I discovered Paloma Wool (so underground, I know). The set up of the store was so specific and well thought out in a way that made the environment truly beautiful. It was an elevated retail experience if you will. I’m broke as fuck. However, I got to try on a few pieces and it was really special. My mom quite literally shed tears of joy when I came out of the dressing room in one of their dresses. 10/10 - would recommend stopping by. It gave me a new appreciation for curation and art direction in fashion. Very, very cool experience. #soho #palomawool #fashion

Casual: Braindead - if you’re into lots of color and wacky designs, this brand is for you. the size s tees fit me perfectly Extra Vitamins - lots of nature themes, very psychedelic, tees have a nice boxy fit. cool earth tone dyes Online Ceramics - wacky designs, absolutely kooky. does a lot of A24 merch Dressier: Carhartt WIP - super durable materials, classic silhouettes, cuts are a bit long so fits taller folks better. I get all my stuff tailored from them. Cav-Empt - like a combo of brain dead and carhartt. really cool fabrics and prints FAAANCY: Older Brother - cut and sew, natural dye, unconventional silhouettes, chunky fabrics, this brand got it all

I’m obsessed with this account on Vietnamese refugees who redefined their identities through new wave. The documentation and references are incredibly preserved. Not to mention the photography and style is serving major attitude. My parents were apart of the same period and region so I’m loving the celebration.

I’ve recently been reconnected to a childhood household ingredient that was commonly used in my Vietnamese upbringing . We put it on everything- eggs, rice, vegetables, soups. I thought it was soy sauce but recently found out it originated from Switzerland! The taste is super rich in umami and can turn any dish into a delicacy and the packaging is not to be overlooked.
