I don't think I'm alone out there, but along with my 20+ totes, I can't stop buying everything that's made out of canvas. The the thicker the better. I recently found out about Klein Tools, and they make small bags and totes for tools all out of No.4 Canvas, one of the most durable and water repellent canvas out there. I'm not necessarily using the bolt bags to store tools, but I've been using them to tidy up and end up being a great shelf decorations.

I was looking for a gym bag recently but realized really any bag could be a gym bag if you put a smaller dry bag inside it to hold your sweaty gear. I liked finding a solution with things I already had. But the main bag started to fall apart and I didn't have another large enough. So I started looking for something new again. I found this guy. It's got large exterior pockets that can hold my trainers. Small interior pockets to hold toiletries, headphones, jump rope, etc. And a big roomy main compartment for tossing in gym clothes and a dry bag. It's also like my ideal tote bag? It's got a hand hold, you can shoulder it, but you can also sling it if you need too by lengthening the strap. This thing is so versatile!

I’m a ripstop addict. I love workwear. I love technical fabrics. I would buy a ripstop suit if I could. (Anyone have a link?). I also live in New York and use a tote bag. Summer showers and cotton totes don’t mix, and they don’t do too well in winter either. The answer? Seventeen. Thirty. Three. (Not to be confused with all time British technical-ware brand 6876). Chicago outfit, real good product. If you need to move something in the city or take it out of town, they got you. All weather conditions. I’d like them to make me an apron, so if you guys see this...let’s talk. Keep this in mind: I won’t name any names, but watch out for imitators. Buy original.

I’ve never been to Disney as a kid and as I grew older I always felt like I was too old for it. I spontaneously tagged along with my family the day before they left and I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and Avatar, and even as an adult I think I had the best week of my life and I felt like a kid again. I legitimately had real tears of joy on some of the rides. It’s never too late!

While everyone is raving about their trendy nonstick pans, I’m here to bring the spotlight back to cast iron cookware. There’s a huge stigma around how hard it is to take care of cast irons, but it’s really not bad! You just gotta keep using it, and over time, it basically becomes nonstick. This article has sent off a tangent, and now I am a proud owner of a well-seasoned cast iron pan and griddle.

Excessively hiking this year has been so fun, but the other half of the fun is the technical hiking apparel that goes with it - oh, and wearing only hiking gear even when I’m not hiking. I really appreciate Japan’s love for outdoor style and culture. GO OUT’s web magazine has been my daily morning check-in and my biggest outdoor gear inspiration. I recently picked up a few of their physical magazines (it’s hard to come by in the US) and I really enjoy flipping through them every now and then. Contrary to typical magazines that we’re used to, GO OUT magazines are basically beefed up catalogs of goodies and collabs that make for great coffee table content.
