I’m a big sucker for classic pieces and I love it when a designer re-imagines them. For example, the double knee pants are a classic that TOMBOGO took and gave a dope twist with convertible/detachable pockets. They’re a small brand that I’ve been following them for a while now, and they’ve been consistently putting out really really interesting pieces like their work shirt.

I’m literally obsessed with this brand. It’s so camp and the pieces are so unique and well made, definitely has an emphasis on statement pieces rather than everyday basics (although they do have some of the latter). Penelope Gazin is the evil genius behind the brand and her marketing strategy is hilarious. From the logo to the item descriptions to the name of the brand itself (every time I tell someone about this brand they look at me like I’m joking when I tell them the name), everything is imbibed with subtle satirical humor. I believe she once described it as an “anti-marketing marketing strategy”. Anyways, I know it’s not the most affordable but its a small business with ethical practices that I enjoy supporting when I can.

Part 2! Another very cool designer whose work is very very well priced on resale platforms, and can easily fill the grungy hole that you want to stuff hundreds of dollars of Junya Watanabe and CdG into but cannot afford to do so

I’ve never been to Disney as a kid and as I grew older I always felt like I was too old for it. I spontaneously tagged along with my family the day before they left and I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and Avatar, and even as an adult I think I had the best week of my life and I felt like a kid again. I legitimately had real tears of joy on some of the rides. It’s never too late!

While everyone is raving about their trendy nonstick pans, I’m here to bring the spotlight back to cast iron cookware. There’s a huge stigma around how hard it is to take care of cast irons, but it’s really not bad! You just gotta keep using it, and over time, it basically becomes nonstick. This article has sent off a tangent, and now I am a proud owner of a well-seasoned cast iron pan and griddle.

Antique shops have a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my childhood road trips. When I was little, I always thought antique shops were just useless junk. As I grew older, I’ve learned to appreciate the “junk” a bit more. Browsing through the aisles, they kind of feel like a time machine. My top things to look out for are vintage cameras, dutch ovens, and vintage porcelain.
