Total Luxury Spa was founded by Daniel Desure and Hassan Rahim in 2014. Based in LA, they work with under-represented artists and give back to the community through grassroots projects. Their t shirts are the comfiest and they are the nicest. Also, people more than once will ask you if its a spa worth going to.

My friend Liz runs Laila, a natural dye company. What started as a hobby and side practice has evolved into a small business offering monthly workshops, a community space, and size inclusive apparel. Dynamically hued scarves and ribbons are for sale year-round, while she offers hand-dyed vintage apparel on a seasonal basis. She frequently collaborates with other small businesses that align with her values, whether its for a limited-run product or a pop-up workshop, and grows most of her materials in her own garden. https://www.sonofatailor.com/ ....they claim to produce only when you order so there's no waste, their quality is very high (think long-thread cottons....etc.).. and their custom-fit engine works pretty well. They're expensive and shipping is pretty slow... No I don't work there and am not paid to promote them... I just like their products... I buy 2-3 things from them every quarter...

First time I went to Dublin my friend took me to this little design shop called Hen’s Teeth and they had a copy of our “ A very serious cookbook”, so obviously I became a fan immediately. Rosie and Greg have moved into a bigger space since then and they run one of the coolest design stores-cafes-music venues-galleries I know, and it also helps that they are some of the nicest people out there. Go to Dublin, go to Hen’s Teeth and buy Anni a glass of wine.

The focaccia here changed my life, that's all I can say. Get the tomato slice, sit in Tompkins Square Park to eat it, and watch the world go by. Top ten New York experience, I think.

You probably haven't heard of this sneaker brand but it’s truly the only shoe I have worn consistently since I was 15. I still feel very rebellious wearing them, and in my mind there shouldn't be any other sneakers out there. If you add an insole, you can be a cool grownup and still take care of your feet.
