Im really trying to get in my "record my life" era bc I really feel weird not having pictures of my adolescent years and at the same time trying to not feel too bad about consumerism when I feel it's justified, but I got a couple of cool things aside from my camcorder

🛍Capitalism bad blah blah blah...Are you a rich kid? Tell me what you got for christmas. I feel like this year I didn't get to see as many hauls for YouTube. The typical What I Got for Christmas. I know they probably are on TikTok but I don't want an account there. Also, I want a thorough, detailed account on what people got 'cause I'm nosy. A half-assed TikTok is not enough.

🧳I’ve been super excited for my upcoming vacation to the beach. It’s too early to actually pack, so I’ve been sublimating by watching asmr packing videos. I’d say 99% of them are exactly the same: fast edits, no talking, no faces, overpacking, same packing cubes, same suitcase, neutral colors. I had no idea there were so many influencers. And doing what??? “Link to Amazon in my bio.” A glaring example that capitalism does not breed innovation.

Stanley who?!...this is literally the best water bottle I've ever used. I feel sporty spice but also hydrated. Doubles as a weapon for a late night walk. Allegedly you can put hot things in it but I've never tried. Ice stays frozen for 12+ hours. Throw it into the dishwasher any time. I have a cherry red one (for the girls).

🎮I recently tapped in when a therapist asked me "what is something you do to relax" and I quite literally had no answer. Enter Sims 4...the base game is free and I have probably logged an ungodly amount of hours. I build houses, I download mods of midcentury furniture, I make replicas of my cat in CAS.
I have also tuned into the youtube-sphere of Sims content. Lil Simsie is my queen...but that's a rec for another time.
