While having this just be a website is a bit romantic and a nice novelty, it's kind of impossible to keep people engaged without an app. Weigh in, would you like to see this site adapted as an app? Is it hard to remember to come back without one? Or do you like that?

I like the app, i feel like it’d be easier to get notifications on my phone whereas through the web browser i don’t always remember

jaer sam_mercauto27 you can say no if it's weird, but can you email me the photo you're trying to upload? [email protected] i can upload photos on my iphone without an issue, ive had some trouble debugging this.

I have the website as a shortcut on my homepage but I enjoy the website. I’m on iPhone safari and haven’t been able to swap profile pics either

tyler Hey man. Yeah, it just stays at the very early stages of the progress bar and nothing happens. I played around with image resizing and stuff on my own; but l, nothing has worked as of yet.

I adore that this interface is well-calibrated/optimized so as to be very user friendly; but, consistently I found it difficult to change my profile picture on my iPhone on the fly (it’s the newest model iPhone running an up to date version of iOS) without using an actual computer. Granted, I’m not the most tech literate compared to some individuals out there. Either way…an app would be pretty cool in my humble opinion.

Shaker square cinemas aka the old colony theater in shaker heights, oh
I have another indie theater that I prefer because it’s cozier, has better vibes, is much closer to me, and everybody who works there is genuinely passionate about film. It’s not really anything special visually but it’s a beautiful institution and it’s so fun to be there ❤️ But this one is an old art deco theatre designed by architect John Eberson (he designed Loew’s Paradise in the Bronx and the Paradise Theatre in Chicago)! It’s pretty run down/poorly managed and staffed but it’s a gorgeous building and definitely worth visiting. Not my photos but included for illustrative purposes!!

Taking a selfie in the amc bathroom every time i go to the movies
i became an AMC Stubs™️ member about two years ago. every time i go, i have a ritual of taking a selfie in the full-length bathroom mirror and adding it to a folder called “because here, they are” (a quote from the Nicole Kidman pledge of allegiance). what i love about this practice / project is that it transforms the seemingly mundane activity of going to the movies, often alone, into a tool for tracking the passage of time. and what is a movie, if not a capsule of time passed, captured in light and color.

FEELING grateful
tomorrow PI.FYI launches to the public this project is the result of thousands of hours spent coding everything from scratch after I got laid off six months ago no thiel-bucks or weirdo outsider money, just a pure desire to make something fun and true to Perfectly Imperfect’s day one goal of helping people find new things from real human beings, not algorithms or AI a pure labor of love that I’ve been quietly plotting for two years and it’s completely self-funded from my (rapidly) dwindling savings account so thank you for coming along for this weird ride 🫶 let's see where it goes
