Manchester NH rock band bringing some very ephemeral 90’s sensibilities. The looping guitar part that runs throughout has been stuck in my head since I first heard it.
Bruh. Had the good fortune to see Cloakroom play in Denver a couple of years ago at the Hi-Dive (the bestest, iykyk💘) At one point in the set, their frontman played a guitar solo that I can only characterize as the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard. Needless to say I was haunted by it and spent the next day combing through their entire catalogue to hear that solo again. I couldn’t find it, but the journey solidified me as a huge Cloakroom fan. I was listening to their new record in my car today and !!! Immediately recognized the guitar solo in this song from that night 🙂↔️💚🐬🦋⚡️
so i sent my friend memory land by cfcf and they thought it was by the same band that made this record,, then she sent me this on some “this is the band i thought this was by” and now i cant stop listening to the first song—its like an early 2010s trip hop/indie road trip song, the drumsss—airy vocallsss—the delayed guitarrrr—the bright bridges—the lagging basss!! fuck. also lovve the instrumental chorus with the subtle vocal and synth/epiano arpeggios,, such a perfect song even with the run time of like 6 mins i cant seem to not run this back the second it ends did some digging and it turns out this was a collaboration project between 2 bands CC Dust and Trans FX—whose catalogs are both interesting asf—yet neither of those bands have put out anything since 2017.. peculiar stuff,, neither the less, yes!! 10/10!!
