Madeline is so beautiful. If you don’t already know, there’s a bar at The Carlyle (Bemelmans) and the mural spanning across the entire bar was illustrated by the same illustrator as those books. To me, it’s the adult equivalent of revisiting the childhood series.

Reread children’s books

i reread the picture book “the library” by sarah stewart, it was so cute and had some lez undertones. i felt whimsy and sweet. i read a bunch of others too and the pure shots of nostalgia back to back was intoxicating

i really loved the lost island of time by paige britt, ive read that book so many times there are little holes in some of the pages from where i held it i also really loved ivy + bean, along with some graphic novels like rapunzels revenge/calamity jack by nathan hale, and all of the scott pilgrim comics when i was too young to understand them😭
