I know, I know, I know obvious! But hear me out, there is literally NOTHING better than sitting alone tipsy at one of the huge, round oyster bars with “a book” that acts as a shield of distraction while you eavesdrop on other people. One time I went and I watched three strangers meet, get hammered, and decide to have a threesome lol. Cheers! Everything here is good, but my personal fave is the caviar sandwich and a Campari spritz with olives. And you must (!) take a selfie on the red lips sofa in the bathroom! There’s a huge mirror in there just for that reason.

you’ll have a ki at Monterrey with the worst person you’ve ever met, nestled away from most not only at the Venetian Islands (war criminal haven in my opinion) but even to the hotel patrons at The Standard where the bar is located. the inside space is very tiny but it should stay that way, with decor evoking a sense of 70’s cocaine with plush and sheen velvet seating, and a vinyl setup with many a good LP inside those crates. the showmanship with the drinks, which was sectioned off by astrology sign — muah! the fake coke baggie as garnish was a little gauche for me but it’s miami after all. the hate crime occurred at the end of my stay at this lovely bar with a 100$ bill for 4 drinks. talk about robbing from the marginalized and poor(baiting).
