soooo if you want to hear the most amazing, most underappreciated girl group in the world listen to The Jones Girls. They have some unbelievable hits like Nights over Egypt and Who can I run to that most people know... but there are some gems in every album that could've went number 1 if I were alive to buy CDs in the 80s TRUST. My ranking of their albums: 1. The Jones Girls (self-titled albums always hit extra hard, also their first album so their was magic there) 2. On Target (yall this album cover is so funny you should google it... they took a shit in the mother toilet and did not flush... oh at all!) 3. At Peace With Woman ( I have been listening to When Im Gone on loop.... also I just love the man is so funny like I cant believe they wrote a song about having a bum boyfriend and being dickmatized by him) 4. Get As Much Love As You Can 5. Keep it Comin ( I love individual songs on this album more than i like the album as a whole but it is their cutest album cover soooo) 6. Comin Back (this one is GOOD just my least fave but actually an interesting shift in their sound from soul to more R&b, All I Want is fabulous) Check out their discography if u like 80s R&b/soul <3

Tippy top of the list is easily Us and Them by Pink Floyd. Obviously anything off of dark side of the moon is an immediate classic. Such a beautiful album. A newer band I recently found is “The growlers.” they have some awesome alt rock sounding, good vibes songs. Some of them feel a little “surfy” if that’s your vibe. Favorite song by them rn is easily “dope on a rope.” A little different of a rec than the first two is another song I hold close to me is “Going in circles” by Friends of Distinction. More of an R&B/Soul group, they have an incredibly warm feeling to this song. If you want something for your softer side, anything by a girl in red is always the vibe.

1) Come to my garden - Minnie riperton This one pulls my heart strings and transports me fully. Fell in and out of love to this album 2) Ocean Eyes - Owl City Went back and listened to this the whole way through recently and was ASTOUNDED. Not only did I remember all the lyrics to every song, but was completely mesmerised at the poetry of the lyrics - he was ahead of his time!!!! 3) After dinner we talk dreams - Michelle I love the way their voices blend and they are able to capture little moments of magic in their songs ahhhhhh. 4) Three dimensions deep - Amber Mark Ugh she is an absolute queen - this album is Like butter. butter on a stoveeeee!!! 5) BRAT - Charli xcx Because duh. This is a true work of art and I was gobsmacked when I listened for the first time. Genuine tapestry of being a girl in this era we’re in… On REPEAT!!!!!

literally can not stop listening to these gals talk about goddamn nothing... I saw them do a live podcast in brooklyn and i damn near lost my mind. I am listening to their new episode right now which compiles a bunch of clips from thier live tour and it astounds me how naturally funny they are. I think everyone has had a really good conversation with a friend and said WE SHOULD MAKE A PODCAST, but very few can handle the intensity of having a constant interesting conversations. These ladies are the only people who I am glad did that....
