recorded in 1971, released in 2021, Nocentelli's crate digger's delight of an album is insanely good top to bottom. Guitarist for the Meters so you know the strings are elite. excellent songwriting, kinda like better James Taylor vibes. no shade to JT, man's a legend but the drum pockets and overall production of this album, kept in vault for decades, is unmatched. I listened to it on loop 3 times on a plane the other day, and while it was unintentional to listen that many times, while napping mostly, I didn't mind at all

One of my favorite records of last year and one I find myself coming back to often is Jeff Parker’s “Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy.” Recorded by my friend Bryce Gonzalez live at ETA in Los Angeles. The Sonics of the record and the chemistry of the band are top-notch.

i think this guy is painfully underrated. been revisiting this album a lot recently. his lyricism is some of my favorite. his dual role as a comedian comes through quite a lot but it transcends that somehow, some of these songs are still so raw and vulnerable just with a lingering humor to soften it. incredible stuff. also the vinyl is pink

this album sounds utterly exhausted. so many ugly, raw moments. haunting. beautiful. rips my soul open and shows it to the world ✌️ are you convinced to listen to it yet? anyways peace out also would hate listening to this album if john never got clean. but hearing this and his 2004 release Shadows Collide With People back to back is an interesting experience. he has overcome so much personally/professionally. very cool to witness sonically

important, powerful, moving and depressing piece about the life of Jordan Neely. It's a critical NYC story and reveals serious flaws in our systems. Also is a thoughtful profile of a truly NYC figure.

Very easy, yummy, good flavor but you can make spicier if you want and add things like shrimp or veggies but at minimum, it’s flavorful broth and tofu
