When I was a teenager I was obsessed with magic. I would spend countless hours learning mostly close-up tricks. When I grew up I stopped dedicating as much time into it but I still practice and can do most of the ones I did as a kid. I’m trying to figure out ways to translate the art of illusion to our live shows. I’ve done tricks on stage before but I’d like to make a proper magic segment. Probably when I learn how to saw someone in half or disappear into a puff of smoke. -Christian
Watching David Blaine’s Street Magic special as a kid was a sea change moment in my life. Not so much because of the tricks or the guy doing them, but because of the looks on the people’s faces. It was the happiest I had ever seen grownups look. That pure state of childlike wonder is the thing I crave the most as an adult, and the feeling I most hope I can give to other people.
