What kickstarted it was the (unfortunately seasonal) Aldi brand cranberry hibiscus tea bags*. What continued it is a local winery cranberry flavored wine, cranberry flavored (also seasonal question mark?) Poppi, etc. etc. I am obsessed with cranberries rn it’s very deep. *To be quite frank, I emailed Aldi to see if they could send me some. They are very adamant that it was only for the season and now I have to wait until next year to hope they bring it back. I highly recommend that flavor if you love tea, they also have a really good peppermint one! Their teas are very flavorful.

In my heart, I'll always be an OG Red Edition stan (RIP Cranberry 😔✊), but this Juneberry flavor is pretty bomb to say the least.

I’m not a mother and to be completely transparent I don’t really want to be one ever. Something struck me so deep in my poetry class last semester that probably pushed me farther into not wanting children, poetry about motherhood. It must be my knack for empathy and passion that connects me so hard to these poems, who knows. I really really love these poems. ‘Metaphors’ by Sylvia Plath and ‘the mother’ by Gwendolyn Brooks, to name a few. There was an especially hard hitting one about being a stay at home mother, but it’s escaping me in the moment. If I remember it I will come back to this. I have an inkling that fellow women in their 20s may relate to this, and if not I would recommend going down a rabbit hole. It’s existential but who doesn’t love that?

Listen to Jockstrap. It’s made up of Georgia Ellery (also in Black Country New Road) and Taylor Skye, and they go sooo hard. Georgia is the voice and plays multiple instruments while Taylor is more on the production side. I went to their Pitchfork Aftershow in Chicago last year and I have never had so much fun at a concert. Taylor sits onstage and literally just deejays the whole time (which is not a jab at him, he is a genius). Georgia sings, plays instruments, and performs for her LIFE. It’s a must listen, must see, must know. Here are some of my favorites of theirs; - City Hell - Glasglow - Sexy 2 - 50/50 (Extended Mix) - Hayley LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN!!!
