On a serious note, these are marvels of architecture and history and I can’t help but be in awe of what it took to build them and the care that must be taken to keep them so pristine. And on a silly note, I feel like I’m Nathan Drake in the Uncharted video games
im not a religious person but i loooove visiting these super ooollddd historic temples and love hearing about the stories that come with these. I also love the creepy feeling you get when you’re all alone in these. the temple in the below images was built in like 1100 ish and that’s not even the oldest one in the area.
there are a lot of spots throughout the city with archeological remains and sites and things just chilling around (a random hotel with a glass floor so you can see the remains of old buildings.. for example) or just walking around town you can find a lot of old stuff which is very interesting and cool. there’s also a roman theatre near my favourite cinema lol. however. my favourite is this car park with tons of old walls and things that look soooo out of place but i love it lmao . i think it’s interesting to see the contrast and to have perspective of how old the city actually is!!
