Great resource to explore sub genres of your choosing - but I especially enjoy perusing the history of electronic music movements and how different cultures influenced each other over the last 30+ years across this little planet of ours. cool stuff!

Every time Spotify‘s algorithm hits a wall in terms of giving me new music, I use this site to look for new releases but I specifically look at artists who‘s music I haven’t heard before or if I’m feeling super experimental I’ll only look Into genres I've never heard of or barely know. I highly recommend this, it’s a fun way to discover new artists and music in general🤩 Music roamer is also a goated way of finding artists similar to your faves https://www.musicroamer.com (use the desktop version)

RYM is an iconic website, but my favorite part is their genre and sub-genre list which is EXTENSIVE. I like to choose a random sub-genre then listen to all the top rated albums in said genre. Super fun way to find stuff. Aquarium Drunkard is a great blog/radio/podcast. Their website will send you into a very beautiful rabbit hole of music you’ve likely never heard before. I found an old favorite Miki Hirayama via AD-plus the band/artist interviews are great.

I love this site and have found some really cool stuff this way. It hasn't been updated recently because the owner of the site got fired from Spotify but it still has a lot of awesome stuff on it. Basically it lists all the microgenres into which Spotify groups artists. You can find some really obscure and interesting ones this way.
