ground zero for lo-fi hip hop. this was my everything in 2016. Some people may listen and think eh i've heard it all before but it's special to me ok. The samples he used on this were like a rosetta stone to so much other culture; Björk, Chet Baker, Cowboy Bebop, so random but like THANK YOU dude.

a good blend of sunday chill mixed with some sunday scaries. beautiful jazzy instrumentation, intimate slacker vocals, a few synth flourishes, and a huge leap from his previous work as a lofi hip hop beat maker

On his family's farm in rural Iowa, young Jack Gudmanson is wrestling with his sexual identity, not an easy thing to do in the macho world of the Midwest.
