I’ve been in a reading slump and I feel like short stories always pull me out of it. Moshfegh’s collection here is NASTY! I love her evident distaste for basically everyone and everything lol. Big fan of her writing style and she makes me want to write too.
I have been tragically on a ”femcel” lit kick, and honestly Moshfegh is the goat of the genre. The short and almost moraless pieces of humanity are addicting, and the short story format makes it really easy to pick up and put down as needed!
theres a waiter at this restaurant who fucks with us and even if he’s not our waiter he tells our waiter to give us free shots so we always get drunk. Big star tacos but. dont tell them i sent you this is my thing. you have to go enough to establish a rapport anyway. n tip good!
