Absolutely consumed this. If it's for you, it will really be for you. Engaging, thorough, great storytelling. At the very least, you'll finish the book and go, "well, now I know what all that's about."

The more I read this book the more I think that everyone should read it. Linguistics is fascinating to me and I know itโs not for everyone, but the author makes it so digestible and Iโm just seeing connections between the โtypicalโ way cults attract members and how politicians, main stream media, and corporations communicate/try to brand themselves. Itโs smart and entertaining without making light of serious topics. I LOVE IT!!!!

Werner Herzog's Memoir. One of the most perniciously fantastic combination of story, philosophy, and ecstatic truth I have ever read. If you know nothing of this madman, consider reading just to become enamored of the ways in which life presents deep mystery and intrigue.

so full disclosure Iโm not done yet but-
Iโm about half way through and Iโm loving the absurdity of it all. It initially felt really odd to read so much Christian lore that I was unfamiliar with (i genuinely felt too Jewish for this book), but once it kept moving forward, the premise really took hold and i found myself enveloped by the writing!! The prose is immaculate too :)
All in all, a great read (so far!) of surrealist fiction that keeps me on my toes.

I've been on a real journey lately. You see the person across the room and you know them... and you know they know you... but you know that they aren't going to come over and say hi... do it. Take the plunge. However the approach needs to happen, make contact. Don't wait until you see them at the next networking event and say "hey were you at the taco place the other day?" It's surprisingly empowering and frankly kind of an impressive social maneuver. The reward is giddy and powerful and immediate. It makes me feel like I've broken out of the matrix.

My friend and I happened upon this. Meaning, strive to live your life in a way that makes you feel hot. Dress to feel hot. Talk to feel hot. Do whatever you do, but in a way that makes you feel like you're worthy of the love and adoration and crushes and desire you deserve. This does not mean "sexy" necessarily--hotness is always shifting and has many forms. But reach deep inside and you'll find that your own personal method and mode of hotness can always, and most of the time is, an excellent guide.
