1920s movie palace in Palo Alto. Incredibly cheap, and there is a Wurlitzer Organ that plays before every showing. Constantly closed for construction.

this one was built in 1927 and i just think it's so awesome to think about its long-standing history. like this place really screened charlie chaplin and harold lloyd movies as they were coming out and people would just casually go see them! one of my favorite places in the city by far. i also just saw but i'm a cheerleader (1999) here tonight :)

My favorite spot to go catch a movie, they have retrospectives of the best directors and have an overall wonderfully curated selection of films. It’s run as a film archive as a non-profit, and consists of one very minimal screening room and a small cafe adjacent to it. Just hearing the way my shoes click on the white marble floor will already make me giddy — I’m so glad it reopened. Just before the pandemic caught one of my all time favorite movies, Fellini’s Juliet of the Spirits there, on original restored film.

In an angry, bratty sort of way. It’s funny and makes people mad, without being (necessarily) vulgar. Best done behind the wheel.

Stop pretending you are in tune with nature because your husky is a wild animal and just get a Pomeranian or a Pug or something and dress it up.
