I used to be a bit of a “flowers are a waste of money, they’ll just die” person. But now Im shocked at how much joy they bring me. I’ve had an awful week and then living overseas from my family is made harder around holidays. So I marched myself to the flower market in my neighborhood and got some for myself. I smile to myself every time I see them and I think that’s well worth the money in a hard time

Sometimes you feel wistful and bored but then you look at the flowers you bought that are sitting on your desk and it cheers you up and I think that’s really lovely. I bought pink carnations and pink tulips :)

Once I’m done with the 40 + genres, we’re diving into the diasporaaaa.
And then at some point I’m talking cash shit about the summer of love and what was cooler than stinky trust fund kids…I mean hippies in San Francisco... I’ll give you some hints, same time period but across the bridge in Oakland. There’s also 1980s Washington DC, fuck it even 1960s Detroit.
I just really fucking hate the Grateful Dead fans. Sorry. Not sorry.
