I have a tough relationship with my mom so I get it. If you've tried everything, including directly and clearly telling her to stop because it's hurting you, it might be time to try less contact. See her less, talk to her less, give her very limited info in response to questions. She can't hurt you if she doesn't have the ammo.

Going on that walk with your mom

Go on that walk even though you know you two are just going to fight the entire time. Maybe you will but maybe you won't. Take the chance. We fought this time, maybe the next time we'll have the best time of out lives.

Getting your friends to bring back cigarettes for you when they go out of the country

My passport has been expired since 2020, and my friends have brought me back French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Austrian, Croatian, etc cigarettes for me bc I’m a pack a day smoker and they’re nice to me. Highly recommend doing this if you’re well traveled or have well traveled friends
