it's kind of like marco polo! one person (mulch monster) closes their eyes and has to find and tag anyone else. if someone touches the ground (or mulch) and the mulch monster hears it and says MuLCH! then they're it. otherwise, everyone frantically runs and climbs around the slides/monkey bars etc etc fleeing from the monster and trying to stay silent without giggling so they don't attract the attention of the MULCH MONSTER!
