fantastic poetry collection/art object, an ex-skateboarder's interpretation of young fatherhood, ithaca life, rural poetics and a reimagination of daddy wordsworth "the prelude"
arrival of the beebox, lady lazarus, the applicant (plath), heart condition (jehrico brown), miss july grows older (margaret atwood), a martian sends a postcard home (craig raine), i remember (stevie smith) stop me bcos i could go on and on and on
good poetry and good prose blend into each other like the mazzy store song, said wordsworth and this is the pick, for those who like when the two blend. so if u enjoy poetry, or prose. either or, you will like this book.
keeping engaged, being respectful, are such easy and powerful things to do :(
bring back presence of mind, see linked "ten rules" (1960s) by corita kent for inspiration :)
a recent peruse of the art library reminded me of lovely artist, educator... and CATHOLIC NUN corita kent, often described as "warhol's kindred spirit in the convent".
get with sister kent, i say this as a former catholic school girl.
