when i was going through the worst period of my life this album was basically the only thing i could listen to and it DID make things worse but it ALSO made me feel like a beautiful and doomed manhattan heiress in a glittering 80s crime drama and now when i relisten to it i’m like damn glad that’s over but also when will i have such cinematic problems again

Started listening to the Blue Nile back in High School while I watched Twin Peaks for the first time –– I felt aspects of each fit well within each other. They are apparently the first band to tour with a fully electric drum kit. (but please don't fact check me my feelings will hurt if I'm wrong).

means to me

for fans of dream pop – this album is so beautiful but so depressing so I can’t listen to it often 😅 it reminds me a lot of a time when I felt super lonely and isolated but I think it makes me reflect on how much has changed for the better too. but anyway I just think the songs are good :)
