i am also a beginner spanish learner trying to improve vocab !! a few resources i've found useful:
dreaming spanish - i have a paid membership which gets you a lot more content but there's plenty of free videos for listening practice at all levels. their approach is to focus solely on listening comprehension so there's no written component
madrigal's magic key to spanish - i like to pair audio/video content with books, this one has been my favorite so far. it focuses a lot in the beginning on teaching general rules instead of individual vocab, so you learn to guess how a lot of english words would be translated into spanish
news in slow spanish - podcast that's divided by skill level, can also pay to have access to all the episode transcripts
I took Spanish all through school and have been doing Duo on and off for several years and have some baseline knowledge but watching “Los Espookys” and “The Taco Chronicles” (with captions) has shown to me that I understand a lot more than I realize.
If you’re within an hour walk from home, you should just walk home.
I understand taking public transit or an Uber there to be on time, but you’re not rushing to get home. Thus, walk.
