I used to skate

Idk if it is still like this but most skateboarders were cool and openminded when i used to skate and would help people learn stuff rather than make fun of them but it has also been like 20 years. also don't push mongo or hold your skateboard by the trucks.

the local skate shop in my hometown! the owner taught me how to skateboard when i was a little kid and the guy who works there when he’s out is totally cute and so nice to my mom.

getting published for the first time

woke up this morning to my article live on the front page of a local magazine i've read for so many years... feels like a full-circle moment i already have plenty of articles out on college publications, but this hits so much different. i'm sure all journalists know the ecstatic feeling of having your article published for the first time, as i'm experiencing that joy right now. just overall very chipper this morning :)
