Yes! I’ll take that scarf/ beanie/ blanket/ sweater/ weird stuffed animal. You make that slut top! Don’t pay urban outfitters or whatever 80 dollars! Spend a similar amount in supplies and time and do it yourself!

so easy to make using an A4 piece of paper - video tuts everywhere. can put super special stuff in !
crochet scarf with single crochets is also super easy and so thoughtful 🧣 plus colour combo posibilities r endless

Soooo until I made this scarf I freehanded EVERYTHING bc patterns seemed too difficult to read and I felt like I wouldn’t be able to adjust them without knowing The Rules. This scarf is super tiny and quick so it doesn’t feel like a daunting investment.
There’s also a bunch of YouTube videos on simple open knit sweater/tops that could be helpful to following along on.
getting comfortable freehand knitting made me more confident when approaching patterns when I decided to do that but I know for other people it can be the other way around ! One free hand tip I have is to get some circular needles that more or less correspond to the circumference of your belly and knit from bottom to top a tank top by experimenting with increases, decreases, and splitting the shirt at the armpits and finagling some straps.
